While ‘Ilaya Thalapathy’ Vijay is waiting for the big release of his Diwali film ‘Velayudham’ the actor is also  excited about his another project – Shankar’s ‘Nanban’!  The busy and hard working Vijay has also wrapped up shooting ‘Nanban’ and now on his post-production work for the film.

Though the actor had worked in sets with director Shankar when he was acting with father and when Shankar was his father’s assistent then ‘Nanban’ is the first film that Vijay is acting under Shankar’s full-fledged direction. The actor is in admiration of the stupendous growth of the director.

Now all eyes in  Film Indus.are on this film, that’s to remake it in Tamil. Directors are wanting to remake Dookudu. But buzz is that interestingly Dookudu’s hero  is reported to have spoken to Thalapathy that he would be the perfect suit as hero in Tamil version. In turn Thalapathy is also said to be pondering to remake this film in Tamil.

Vijay has starred in several romance and action films, including the commercially successful films Poove Unakkaga (1996), Kadhalukku Mariyadhai (1997), Thulladha Manamum Thullum (1999), Kushi (2000), Priyamaanavale (2000), Ghilli (2004), Pokkiri (2007) and Kaavalan (2011). He also worked with several corporations as a brand ambassador and is a former brand ambassador of the Indian Premier League cricket  Chennai Super Kings.
